Mirror Columns: Reference Data Without Duplication
Origin's new Mirror Column feature lets you reference data anywhere in your project without duplicating it — keeping projects lightweight, fast, and easier to manage.
Key features include:
- Create mirror columns instantly by copying source columns and using Paste as Mirror Columns (CTRL+ALT+V) — or by typing the mirror syntax directly into the destination column's Fx row
- Data is stored only once, resulting in significantly smaller project files and faster load times compared to copy-paste o, column formulas
- Special icons and tooltips on both source and destination columns make mirror relationships easy to identify and manage
- Mirror entire worksheets across workbooks to maintain a single source of data while working in different analysis contexts
- Convert existing column formulas or Copy Columns To destinations to mirror relationships at the worksheet, workbook, folder, or project level
- View and manage all project-wide mirror relationships from the Project Browser dialog
Life Science GUI Mode: Structured Tables for Graphing and Analysis
OriginPro 2026b introduces a dedicated Life Science GUI mode with specialized structured data tables, context-sensitive menus, and integrated analysis tools designed for dose-response studies, grouped replicates, time-course measurements, and multi-factor designs.
Key features include:
- Choose from five structured table types: XY, Column, Grouped, Contingency, and Survival Data — each optimized for a specific experimental design
- Table-aware Plot menu and context menus automatically present graph types and analysis options appropriate for the selected table
- Perform common analyses — including dose-response curve fitting and heatmap visualization — directly from table icon menu
- Drag and drop GraphPad Prism .pzfx or .prism files into Origin, or copy-paste Prism table data — worksheets automatically convert to the appropriate structured table format

Add Columns to Other Sheets
In the version, you can add or insert column to one worksheet and repeat the same for other worksheets:
- Add column to worksheets with similar data structure, or to any worksheet
- Add to worksheets in current book, folder or project
- Also works for inserting columns
- If column formula is used, the formula will be copied and applied to other sheets
Graph Annotation Improvements
Various annotation improvements have been added to this version:
- New Slope Annotation tool
- Mini dialog to customize data annotation
- Add reference lines to all layers
- Add reference lines using values from column label row
- More Append mode in Graph Annotation tool
- More annotation tools now support holding shift key to snap
