Description:

PURPOSE
This app can be used to calcuate the signal to noise rate.

INSTALLATION
Download the file Signal to Noise Ratio.opx, and then drag-and-drop onto the Origin workspace. An icon will appear in the Apps Gallery window.

OPERATION
1. Make a worksheet active.
2. Click Signal to Noise Ratio app icon in Apps Gallery window. The dialog will be opened for settings
3. Choose the desired setting from the dialog, and then click OK button to generate the report.

DIALOG SETTINGS
1. Estimate Type: Specify what signal data to use for calculating signal to noise ratio. Options include Canonical Definition, Time, Power Spectral Density (PSD) and Power Spectrum.
2. Input Signal and Input Noise: Input data for Estimate Type is Canonical Definition.
3. Real-Valued Sinusoidal Input Signal: Input signal for Estimate Type is Time.
4. One-Sided PSD: Input PSD for Estimate Type is Power Spectral Density (PSD).
5. One-Sided Power Spectrum: Input power spectrum for Estimate Type is Power Spectrum.
6. Sample Rate: Sample rate, when Estimate Type is Time, this value is needed.
7. Cyclical Frequencies: The frequencies is needed if Estimate Type is Power Spectral Density (PSD) or Power Spectrum.
8. Resolution Bandwidth: This is needed when Estimate Type is Power Spectrum.
9. Number of Harmonics: Number of harmonics to exclude from the computation.
10. Remove Harmonics Aliased into Nyquist Range: Check to remove harmonics of the fundamental that are aliased into Nyquist range.
11. Output Report and Output Data: Specify where to output the report and the data.

SAMPLE OPJU FILE
This app provides a sample OPJU file. Right click on the Signal to Noise Ratio icon in the Apps Gallery window, and choose Show Samples Folder from the short-cut menu. A folder will open. Drag-and-drop the project file SNRExample from the folder onto Origin. Click on the green lock and then select Change Parameters... from the context menu to open the dialog again.
Note: If you wish to save the OPJU after changing, it is recommended that you save to a different folder location (e.g. User Files Folder).
