2.83 FAQ-863 How do I update a data filter during batch operations?

Last Update: 1/22/2018

Origin's Batch Processing dialog allows user to use an existing workbook or saved analysis templates™ to do analysis in batch. If there is data filter in worksheet or analysis template, automatic updating of filters is particularly important.

Until Origin 2017 SR1, you had to add the following line of LabTalk script to the Script Before Each Process box in the Batch Processing tool (File: Batch Processing) to reapply the filter on new data:

wks.runfilter();

Starting with Origin 2017 SR1, it is no longer necessary to do so. Any filters added to the Analysis Template™ or worksheet will automatically update upon data change in Batch Processing dialog.
