Origin ships with 3 Heatmap templates: Heatmaps, Heatmaps with Labels and Split Heatmaps. All types can be constructed with XY or XYZ worksheet data; from a virtual matrix; or from a matrix of Z values. Some data structures may work better with a given heatmap template. Consult the links above for more information.

1. To create a heatmap, activate the matrix sheet or select the required data in the worksheet.
2. From the menu, choose Plot > Contour: Heatmap, Heatmap with Labels or Split Heatmap.
