1.16 FAQ-128 Can I use external color palette files to apply color to my plots?

Last Update: 2/3/2015

You can use external palette files which are either Microsoft binary files or JASC ASCII files. The color palette controls in the Style toolbar and Plot Details dialog, as well as the Apply Palette dialog accessible from the Graph: Apply Palette to ColorMap menu item all allow you to browse to an external palette file.

Origin also ships with a wide selection of palette files accessible from the above mentioned controls.

Palettes can be applied to plots that include color maps, such as contour plots, grouped plots, and plots where graph elements are mapped to values from another column.
