##### To perform distribution fit on data

Origin provides a tool to examine the distribution of data, and estimate parameters for the distribution. It is accessible from menu Statistics:Descriptive Statistics: Distribution Fit

The tool supports 5 continuous distribution and two discrete distribution

 Normal LogNormal Weibull Exponential Gamma
 Binomial Poisson
##### To perform distribution fit together with histogram

We provide another way to generate a histogram from your data and estimate the parameter of the distribution using the Maximum Likelihood Estimation

The method supports 6 continuous distribution and one discrete distribution.

##### To perform fit with PDF or CDF function on the binned data

However, if you want to fit with the user-defined probability density function(pdf) or cumulative distribution function(CDF), you can use Origin's nonlinear curve fitting tool.  Note: The method is not always recommended because the bin size and sample size affect the fitting results.
