2.47 FAQ-481 How do I copy data with column label rows?

Last Update: 8/9/2017

Select the entire column(s), right-click and select Copy (including label rows). The data and label rows will be copied and will paste into a new selection.

  • To paste only label row values, right-click on the cell in the upper-left corner of the range and Paste (Origin will not add User Parameter rows).
  • To paste only data row values, right-click on the cell in the upper-left corner of the range and Paste (Origin will add data rows, as needed).
  • If you select the left-most column by clicking on the column heading, both label and data values will be pasted and Origin will add columns, data rows and User Parameter rows, as needed.

Beginning with Origin 2016 SR1, If you Copy (including label rows) and paste your selection, empty label rows will not be copied over. This includes when pasting to another application such as MS Excel. To change this, set the value of the system variable @KEL to 1 using this procedure.
