Select two or three Y columns of values.

Creating the Graph

Select Plot: Line+Symbol: Line Series.

Notes

  1. The X-Function plot_lineser is used when plotting this line series graph.
  2. After you click the Line Series button, Origin creates a new (hidden) workbook. The worksheet in it containss three columns. The first column contains the series indices of the selected Y columns (1, 2, or 3). The second column contains the associated actual cell values. And the third column contains the labels of these selected Y columns.
  3. The Change Parameters menu item on the short-cut menu which appears when you click on the lock icon cannot be used.
