The workbook window is created from a customizable template. All Origin workbook templates are named with the OTW file extension. The workbook template stores a variety of information, including the number of worksheets in the workbook, the names of the worksheet columns and the types of data they store, import-handling instructions, math functions and worksheet style and format options.
The Workbook Organizer is designed to help you keep track of the information that is stored in the Origin workbook window. The Organizer can be toggled on or off from the workbook window's shortcut menu. The Organizer provides a tree-view of the workbook window contents, listing worksheets, columns in each worksheet, imported files and variables extracted during file import. Some information -- worksheet column names, for instance -- can be edited in the Organizer.
