Individual User Packages
An Individual User package allows ONE person to run Origin or OriginPro. We offer two types of Individual User license management options:
Node-locked

You can install and run Origin on one (1) computer. A license file must be obtained from the OriginLab website to lock the software to that computer. You have up to seven days from the first Origin start-up to complete this licensing process.
Once you obtain a license file for a computer, the license file is saved on that computer, so after obtaining license you do NOT need internet access to run Origin.
Also, if your computer does not have internet access, you can use a different computer to obtain the required license from the OriginLab website.
If you replace a licensed computer, you must contact OriginLab to make a license available for your replacement computer.
The Student Personal Use is a node-locked OriginPro package with additional restrictions.

Dongle
|
You can run Origin on any number of your computers, as long as the USB dongle provided by OriginLab is attached to the computer.
If you replace a licensed computer, there is no need to contact OriginLab. You can simply install Origin on your replacement computer and insert the dongle afterward to run Origin.
If you lose the dongle, a replacement can be purchased from OriginLab.
