Smith Charts

Origin now offers Smith Charts. This specialized polar type plot is used by electrical engineers to chart impedance in transmission lines. The Smith Chart is easily customized either through the Plot Details and Axis dialog boxes or by using Origin's Style and Format toolbar buttons.

A floating tool (accessible via the graph itself) is also provided. This tool allows one to modify settings commonly found on Smith charts.

• Apply a normalization factor
• Reverse the R axis
• Create SWR circles
