Origin supports a wide variety of 2D graph types such as bar graphs, line graphs, pie graphs, Smith® charts, and many other specialized plots. All basic and specialized 2D graph types are accessible on a 2D Graphs toolbar (see below).

Plotting is quick and easy in Origin. Simply select the desired column(s) of data and click on a plot type button. To edit your graph, double-click on any object to get a context sensitive properties dialog.

The table at right shows all the built-in 2D bar graphs, line graphs, pie graphs and other graph types Origin offers. Click on a graph type link (or the plot type button) to learn more about the graph.

 Custom panel graphs can also be created using layer features and the graph merging tools. Up to 50 layers can be created, allowing you to add inset graphs as well as multiple offset axes for displaying data that differs in magnitude or unit.
