Multi-sheet Workbooks
Origin’s new multi-sheet workbooks with rich-text formatting let you
consolidate and manage imported data, related analysis results, graphs, images, and database queries.
- Format your worksheet as desired, using rich text cell formatting
and reserved rows for long name, units, user-defined parameters,
comments, sampling rate, and other metadata.
- Embed graphs, images, and notes in worksheet
cells, facilitating better project organization, documentation and
report generation.

Origin’s workbooks support multiple worksheets that have header regions for long names, units, user-defined parameters, comments and sparklines. Data columns
support mixing text and numeric, or pure numeric columns ranging from 1-byte to
16-byte complex data types. |
- Quickly review the profile of each dataset by glancing at its sparkline1 at the top of each worksheet column.
- Drag and drop sheets to easily reorganize the active
workbook, or to place into another workbook.
- View metadata associated with imported files in the workbook
organizer. Enter additional metadata as desired.
- Create column formulas that operate on any dataset within the
Origin project using built-in mathematical and statistical functions
or LabTalk statements that call X-Functions. Set column formulas to automatically recalculate the results whenever the source
data is changed.

Multi-sheet Matrix Books
Origin’s new multi-sheet matrix books let you consolidate and efficiently manage your three-dimensional (3D) or image data, any corresponding analysis results, and image processing results by allowing you to place them in multiple sheets within the same matrix book. Multi-sheet matrix books ensure better, more efficient
organization and reduce clutter within the Origin workspace.

- Store different components of your data in separate matrix objects within each matrix sheet.
For example,
- Separate the Red, Green, Blue
color components of your image into three matrix objects and analyze each independently.
- Store your complex data in one sheet and the real, imaginary, phase, and amplitude data in separate matrix objects.
- Display your matrix in data or image form
- Format your matrix sheets as desired, using rich text cell formatting
