With the Lookup Table, a feature that is available in OriginPro only, you can apply a lookup table to an image by specifying a function and a factor to be used for the table. Applying a lookup table to an image enables you to change the color values in the specified color channel (RGB, R, G, or B), thereby enhancing the color of the input image.
In OriginPro, the imgFuncLUT X-Function is based on a lookup table. Currently, three functions as below are available:
Additionally, the Lookup Table includes an option to save the lookup table data.
In the following example, we specify Channel as green and Function as Ln. As we can see, many features in the green channel of output image are improved.
OriginPro includes the ability to automatically recalculate the analysis results of the Lookup Table operation any time you change the parameters or update your source data. In addition, the settings for this analysis routine can be saved to an analysis theme for use later with similar data.
